A seasonal guide
SpetchleySpring

The Gardens offers something different throughout all four seasons

March and April

A wonderful display of Daffodils, Crocus and other spring bulbs. Hellebores also continue to flower.

May

This is the month when many of the flowering trees and shrubs, in particular the Tree Paeonies, come into their own. Rhododendrons, Camellias, Snakeshead Fritillaries and Trilliums are at their best in May.

June and July

The Herbaceous Paeonies are joined by other herbaceous varieties. The large collection of Roses, both old fashioned and modern, provide a wondeful display supported by Delphiniums, Bearded Iris and Martagon Lilies. July also sees the start of the Hydrangeas.

July to September

These months reveal the great herbaceous borders in all their glory. You can see the rare Double Pomegranate in the Melon Yard.

September and October

The borders continue to flourish and the colours begin to transform through their wonderful Autumn tints.
