Spetchley has been home to my family for over 400 years and successive generations have lovingly collected and planted rare plants from around the world, creating one of the largest private collections of plant varieties outside the major botanical gardens.
We are proud to be a garden for all tastes; our Gardens are not a formal paradise of neatly manicured lawns or beds but rather a wondrous display of plants, shrubs and trees woven into a garden of many rooms and vistas all with a fascinating story to tell. We look forward to welcoming you and sharing our treasured garden.
Wet beginnings - The start to 2014 has not been ideal but with two months until we open there is an air of excitement and expectation around the garden.
Whilst out patient team of gardeners battle the elements in the garden the construction boys battle the mud as they solider on with our new car park and Welcome Centre. Both are taking shape nicely and will provide much needed infrastructure improvements to the gardens.
Work on converting the old squash court into The Willmott Room, a flexible space for Civil Ceremonies, meetings and social events, available for hire, will begin soon and will be ready mid May.
We are just over a month away from submitting our round two application to the Heritage Lottery Fund and work on that application is keeping our brilliant team of consultants extremely busy.
We have also received 85 Wedding enquiries and many event enquiries since the start of the year as we look to promote ourselves as a beautiful wedding and event venue. Don't despair, we still have dates free for 2014!

This beautiful historic garden, surrounded by ancient parkland, deer park and lakes is set in the wonderful Worcestershire countryside with far reaching views to the Malvern Hills. It is a garden that provides the ideal day out for you and your family, allowing you and your children the dream escape from the bustle of everyday life. Our proximity to Worcester, the Malverns and the Cotswolds makes us the ideal attraction for groups.
The stunning 30 acre garden, with the Bath Stone Georgian mansion as a backdrop, provides a unique venue for your wedding reception, civil ceremony, or partnership.
There is more to Spetchley than just a garden. It can also be used for corporate hospitality, promotional and photographic shoots and filming.
There is also a wonderful tea room, where you can buy a light lunch or full, traditional afternoon tea. We hope you enjoy your visit to Spetchley and thank you for taking time to look at our website.
