Spetchley has been home to my family for over 400 years and successive generations have lovingly collected and planted rare plants from around the world, creating one of the largest private collections of plant varieties outside the major botanical gardens.
We are proud to be a garden for all tastes; our Gardens are not a formal paradise of neatly manicured lawns or beds but rather a wondrous display of plants, shrubs and trees woven into a garden of many rooms and vistas all with a fascinating story to tell. We look forward to welcoming you and sharing our treasured garden.
Working in the wet
2014 has been a very busy season with a lot going on. The gardens are now closed and work is starting on preparation for 2015.
Already we have started work on many of the trees, pruning, raising the crowns etc and have planted 90 trees in the new car park which will help to make a real roadside spectacle throughout the year.
We will be opening on 1st April 2015 with our new car park, shop and plant sales area up and running. We will also have started work on the capital phase of the Spetchley Revival Project which will continue for the next three years. We have lots of weddings booked and will of course be hosting our Spring Plant Fair and Military re-enacment weekend not to mention numerous other smaller events. All details will be on our website in due course
We would like to thank all our friends and those who visited for helping to support this unique environment. Have a good winter.

This beautiful historic garden, surrounded by ancient parkland, deer park and lakes is set in the wonderful Worcestershire countryside with far reaching views to the Malvern Hills. It is a garden that provides the ideal day out for you and your family, allowing you and your children the dream escape from the bustle of everyday life. Our proximity to Worcester, the Malverns and the Cotswolds makes us the ideal attraction for groups.
The stunning 30 acre garden, with the Bath Stone Georgian mansion as a backdrop, provides a unique venue for your wedding reception, civil ceremony, or partnership.
There is more to Spetchley than just a garden. It can also be used for corporate hospitality, promotional and photographic shoots and filming.
There is also a wonderful tea room, where you can buy a light lunch or full, traditional afternoon tea. We hope you enjoy your visit to Spetchley and thank you for taking time to look at our website.
